SCHMETZ CANU	CANU 27:55 CANU is the abbreviation for "Catalog Number" and represents the system developed by the German needle manufacturer SCHMETZ and used worldwide today for the summary and identification of the same sewing machine needles, which have various designations specific to the sewing machine manufacturer (needle systems).
SPECIAL	Gebogen (Overlock, Blindstich, Kettel) Gebogene Nadeln gibt es neben einigen Spezialfällen (wie z.B. Kettelnadeln) in zwei Hauptgruppen: 1. die wenig gebogenen Overlock-Nadeln 2. die stark gebogenen Blindstich-Nadeln. Im Overlock-Bereich gibt es fast nur noch ein Standard-System B-27 (DCX27 sowie alte Bezeichnungen wie MY 1023 und UY 191 GS). Diese gerade Nadel ist bei Schmetz im SERV 7 Design als Standard gefertigt (tiefe Spezialhohlkehle, verstärkter Schaft), da sehr hohe Nähgeschwindigkeiten (bis 8.000 Stiche/Min) vewendet werden und damit eine sehr stabile Nadel gebraucht wird. Sehr selten werden noch gebogene Overlock-Nadeln in der Strumpfindustrie verwendet.
