Highly elastic knit fabric (lycra, silk jersey)

Lycra or silk jersey are knitted fabrics (also called warp-knit or knitwear) made from thread systems, produced industrially by loop formation on a knitting machine. They belong to the knitted fabrics.

Lycra consists of a bundle of capillary filaments, whose individual filaments are bonded together into a "quasi-monofilament", giving it a yarn-like structure.
