Industrial and commercial needles
How do you find the right needle for your sewing machines?
By using our filters you are sure to find the right needles.
- It makes sense to first look for the needle system that suits your machine.
The name for your suitable “needle system” can be found on the sticker on your machine or in the operating instructions.
If you have already used SCHMETZ needles, you will find the CANU on their packaging - using the right CANU is the quickest way to find your needles.
- Then make your selection based on the desired tip shape.
The material largely determines the tip shape - as a professional user you know the differences or ask us.
The thickness of the needle is given in 1/100 millimeters. Example: NM70 = 0.7mm or NM100 = 1.0mm. You can also find the name from the USA such as 12/80. Both values included indicate the same needle size: the first number (12/..) according to the outdated Singer standard, the second (../80) according to the modern NM standard.
The width of the needle eye is usually 40% of the needle diameter.
Packaging: Manufacturers keep changing the type of packaging over time. Boxes/letters are particularly affected by this. We therefore supply you with available units with the number of needles you ordered.
Ask us, we carry and deliver ALL available needle systems - even in large quantities.
