Suitable machine classes are found, among others, at Pfaff (classes 138, 238, 438, 546), Juki (classes DDL-5550N, DDL-5550N-7, DDL-5550NA, DDL-5550NA-7) and Singer (classes 107-W1, 107-W10, 107-W100, 107-W102).
In size NM:110/SIZE:18, this version is especially well suited to heavy, multi-layer woven and knit fabrics as well as technical textiles. A sewing thread in the range Nm 50/2 to Nm 40/2 is usually suitable, e.g. from Amann Serafil (polyester) or Rasant (polyester/cotton).
