The 110 S TOP SES needle (needle system 110 S TOP) has a small ball point for working knit fabrics, without damaging the loops. It is used in Schiffli embroidery machines. Suitable machine classes are found, among others, at Lässer (classes L 110, L 120, PRIME, TWIN), Saurer Embroidery Systems (classes 2040, 4040, EPOCA, S) and Saurer (classes 2040 - PENTAMAT, 4040 - HP-E, EPOCA - II, EPOCA - III).
The available needle sizes are used, among others, for standard embroidery on medium-weight fabrics. As embroidery thread, a size No. 60 to No. 30 thread matching the needle size chosen is usually recommended, e.g. Amann Isacord. The ball point glides between the loops instead of piercing them, keeping the seam clean and undamaged.
