The needle of system 134-35 F has a normal round point for working woven and knit fabrics. It is used in industrial lockstitch and general-purpose sewing machines, here mainly for technical applications such as footwear and vehicle seating rather than classic garment production. Suitable machine classes are found, among others, at Dürkopp Adler (classes 100-69, 527i-811, 527i-847, 550-867), Pfaff (classes 38 BIS 1937, 39 BIS 1937, 1245, 1295) and Rimoldi (classes 229 ALL CLASSES, 421 OTHER CLASS, 530 ALL CLASSES, 840 - 104).
The available needle sizes are used, among others, for heavy, multi-layer woven and knit fabrics as well as technical textiles. As sewing thread, a matching thickness is usually recommended depending on the needle size chosen, e.g. from Amann Serafil (polyester) or Rasant (polyester/cotton); for heavy-duty use, a bonded nylon thread.
