The 134 (R) needle (needle system 134) has a normal round point for working woven and knit fabrics. It is used in industrial lockstitch and general-purpose sewing machines for everyday garment and textile manufacturing. Suitable machine classes are found, among others, at Pfaff (classes 22, 28, 33905, 34), Juki (classes ACB, ACF, AEC, ALS) and Singer (classes 20, 61, 107, 108).
In size NM:160/SIZE:23, this version is especially well suited to very heavy, multi-layer materials such as webbing, tarpaulins and upholstery composites. A sewing thread in the range Nm 40/2 to Nm 20/2 is usually suitable, e.g. from Amann Serafil (polyester) or Rasant (polyester/cotton); for heavy-duty use, a bonded nylon thread.
