The 1807 (D) OA needle has an eccentric round point toward the long groove for working woven and knit fabrics. It is used in industrial lockstitch and general-purpose sewing machines for everyday garment and textile manufacturing. Suitable machine classes are found, among others, at Reece (classes 101 ALL CLASSES, 103 ALL CLASSES, 104 AF, S - 100), Global (classes BH 758, BH 759, BH 778, BH 779) and Dürkopp Adler (classes 557 ALL CLASSES, 558 - 1301 TO 1303).
The available needle sizes are used, among others, for light, fine woven and knit fabrics such as blouse and shirt fabrics. As sewing thread, a matching thickness is usually recommended depending on the needle size chosen, e.g. from Amann Serafil (polyester) or Rasant (polyester/cotton).
