The needle of system 190 K has a large round point for sewing on buttons. It is specifically designed for industrial button-sewing machines. Suitable machine classes are found, among others, at Pfaff (classes 145, 155, 175, 195 H 4), Dürkopp Adler (classes 564, 564 - 108-01, 564 - 111 ALL CLASSES, 564 - 15 ALL CLASSES) and Necchi (classes 440, 442). In size NM:90/SIZE:14, this version is especially well suited to medium-sized buttons on medium-weight jacket and coat fabrics. A sewing thread in the range Nm 80/2 to Nm 50/2 is usually suitable; a strong polyester thread, e.g. from the Amann Serafil range, is recommended. The large, sturdy point reliably pierces both the fabric and the button's holes.Package contents: pack B10 with 10 needles
CANU is the abbreviation for "Catalog Number" and represents the system developed by the German needle manufacturer SCHMETZ and used worldwide today for the summary and identification of the same sewing machine needles, which have various designations specific to the sewing machine manufacturer (needle systems).
Needles with a normal chrome coating can be recognized by their shiny silver surface. The chrome coating provides protection against wear and corrosion. The surface is smooth and protects the material and the thread. Chrome needles can be used for all standard applications. Compared to nickel-plated needles, chrome-plated needles improve the service life of the needle at higher stitch counts. At Groz-Beckert, the equivalent chrome coating is being gradually replaced by their more environmentally friendly "dur" process.
