The 2091 needle (needle system 175X7) has a large round point for sewing on buttons. It is specifically designed for industrial button-sewing machines. Suitable machine classes are found, among others, at Yamato (classes CB, CB - 513, CB - 515, CB - 516), Chandler (classes 710, 710 - 1-N, 710 - 1-S, 710 - 12) and Dürkopp Adler (classes 147, 247, 547, 566).
In size NM:85/SIZE:13, this version is especially well suited to medium-sized buttons on medium-weight jacket and coat fabrics. A sewing thread in the range Nm 80/2 to Nm 50/2 is usually suitable; a strong polyester thread, e.g. from the Amann Serafil range, is recommended. The large, sturdy point reliably pierces both the fabric and the button's holes.
