The 265 SUK needle (needle system 265) has a medium ball point for working knit fabrics, without damaging the loops. It is used in industrial lockstitch and general-purpose sewing machines for everyday garment and textile manufacturing. Suitable machine classes are found, among others, at Pfaff (classes 118, 238, 417, 418), Juki (classes LK, LZ, LK - 1900 ASS, LZ - 1285 ALL CLASSES) and Dürkopp Adler (classes 265, 540, 556, 577).
In size NM:80/SIZE:12, this version is especially well suited to medium-weight knit fabrics for everyday garment production. A sewing thread in the range Nm 80/2 to Nm 50/2 is usually suitable, e.g. from Amann Serafil or Rasant; for very stretchy seams, a texturised thread also works well. The ball point glides between the loops instead of piercing them, keeping the seam clean and undamaged.
