Sewing machine needle 92X27 DIA NM:250/SIZE:27 (10 needles)
The 92X27 DIA needle (needle system 92X27) has a diamond point for working leather, synthetic leather and other coated materials – never for woven fabric, since the cutting action would sever the weave threads. It is used in industrial sewing machines for leather and synthetic-leather work, where the cutting point produces a clean puncture. The available needle sizes are used, among others, for very thick, firm leather and multi-layer leather joins. As sewing thread, a bonded polyester or nylon thread such as Amann Serabond, Amann Strongbond or Coats Dabond is usually recommended, in a thickness matching the needle size chosen. A cutting point is required here to create clean puncture channels in firm materials.
CANU is the abbreviation for "Catalog Number" and represents the system developed by the German needle manufacturer SCHMETZ and used worldwide today for the summary and identification of the same sewing machine needles, which have various designations specific to the sewing machine manufacturer (needle systems).
Cutting tip with diamond-shaped incision. The centered incision is made in the direction of the seam. The seam pattern corresponds to that of the spade tip (S tip). However, the four cutting edges of the DI tip allow for easier penetration of heavy, hard materials.Result:Very straight, drawn-in seam Materials:Suitable for heavy, dry, hard leatherApplications:- Footwear manufacturing - Bags, suitcasesHighlight:Absolutely precise and clean seam appearance, with the correct stitch position and no needle deflection.
Needles with a normal chrome coating can be recognized by their shiny silver surface. The chrome coating provides protection against wear and corrosion. The surface is smooth and protects the material and the thread. Chrome needles can be used for all standard applications. Compared to nickel-plated needles, chrome-plated needles improve the service life of the needle at higher stitch counts. At Groz-Beckert, the equivalent chrome coating is being gradually replaced by their more environmentally friendly "dur" process.
