The needle of system C-100-S has a square point (45°) for working firm, dense materials. It is used in industrial chainstitch and general-purpose sewing machines, here mainly for technical applications such as the packaging industry rather than classic garment production. This is a curved needle. Suitable machine classes are found, among others, at Dave Fischbein Co. (classes MTC, NMC 50800, 10000, 10300) and Fischbein (classes 10000, 10300, 10400 ALL CLASSES, MTC).
The available needle sizes are used, among others, for firm, dense materials in the packaging industry. As sewing thread, a matching thickness is usually recommended depending on the needle size chosen, e.g. from Amann Serafil (polyester) or Rasant (polyester/cotton); for heavy-duty use, a bonded nylon thread. A cutting point is required here to create clean puncture channels in firm materials.
