Good to know about needle system 253

Needle system: 253 – According to SCHMETZ, the 253 family includes the variants 253 M, 253 C and 253 S/C (PHx253) – hook needles for special machines, e.g. from Amico and Taking.
CANU: No CANU is publicly documented for this historical system, so the needle is identified by its system number and dimensions.
Needle size: NM 90 means a blade diameter of 0.90 mm (Singer size 14) – suitable for medium-weight fabrics such as cotton, poplin and blends.
Tip: Before use, compare shank diameter, overall length and length to eye with your current needle. Even one millimetre of difference causes skipped stitches or needle breakage. The system is printed on the original packaging or in your machine’s manual.

Scope of delivery: Packaging BR10 with 10 needles
