Sewing machine needle pin 30X2, 0X3, 0 | needle pin NM:70/SIZE:10 (10 needles)
The Stift 30X2, 0X3, 0 needle has a normal round point for working woven and knit fabrics. It is used in industrial lockstitch and general-purpose sewing machines for everyday garment and textile manufacturing. Thinner needle sizes are used, among others, for light, fine woven and knit fabrics such as blouse and shirt fabrics, and the thicker versions for heavy, multi-layer woven and knit fabrics as well as technical textiles. As sewing thread, a matching thickness is usually recommended depending on the needle size chosen, e.g. from Amann Serafil or Rasant (polyester).
CANU is the abbreviation for "Catalog Number" and represents the system developed by the German needle manufacturer SCHMETZ and used worldwide today for the summary and identification of the same sewing machine needles, which have various designations specific to the sewing machine manufacturer (needle systems).
Until the end of 2020, the nickel-plated needle was the standard for household sewing machines. Since then, Schmetz has been gradually converting production to "chrome-plated", as has been standard for industrial needles for decades.
