Very rare twin needle for sewing machines that use the 287 WH / 1738 needle system.

Please note (Schmetz information for this needle):
1. These twin needles can only be used in zigzag machines with a transverse hook.
2. Before inserting, set the zigzag mechanism to 0.
3. Use a zigzag or tuck (pintuck) foot.
4. Insert the needle
5. Fit 2 thread spools (for cotton thread 90-60 for needle size NM80) and thread each needle eye from the front.
6. Turn the handwheel slowly to make sure the twin tuck needle pierces properly.

If these 6 points are observed, the machine will sew flawlessly with the correct thread tension. The twin tuck needles are of course equipped with hook protection.
