The needle of system BLX1 has a small ball point for working knit fabrics, without damaging the loops. It is used in industrial sewing machines. In size NM:75/SIZE:11, this version is especially well suited to fine, light jersey and tricot fabrics. A sewing thread in the range Nm 80/2 to Nm 50/2 is usually suitable, e.g. from Amann Serafil or Rasant; for very stretchy seams, a texturised thread also works well. The ball point glides between the loops instead of piercing them, keeping the seam clean and undamaged.Package contents: pack B10 with 10 needles
CANU is the abbreviation for "Catalog Number" and represents the system developed by the German needle manufacturer SCHMETZ and used worldwide today for the summary and identification of the same sewing machine needles, which have various designations specific to the sewing machine manufacturer (needle systems).
The small ball point displaces fabric and stitch catching; den, pierces directly into the gaps and thus avoids material damage.Applications:- Fine to medium knitwear- Light denim materials- Light, densely woven materials- Medium to heavy fabric- Laminated materials (textile/textile)Highlight: strong>Particularly suitable for jerseys and tricots.
Needles with a normal chrome coating can be recognized by their shiny silver surface. The chrome coating provides protection against wear and corrosion. The surface is smooth and protects the material and the thread. Chrome needles can be used for all standard applications. Compared to nickel-plated needles, chrome-plated needles improve the service life of the needle at higher stitch counts. At Groz-Beckert, the equivalent chrome coating is being gradually replaced by their more environmentally friendly "dur" process.
