CANU 04:45MA1 The 1128 SPI needle (needle system 1128) has an acute round point for working woven and knit fabrics. It is used in industrial lockstitch and general-purpose sewing machines for everyday garment and textile manufacturing. Suitable machine classes are found, among others, at Singer (classes 39, 44, 46, 63), Juki (classes DDL, DDW, LZ, DDL-8700A) and Mitsubishi (classes DB, LD, DB - 12 A, DB - 12 APP).

The available needle sizes are used, among others, for medium-weight standard woven and knit fabrics for everyday garment production. As sewing thread, a matching thickness is usually recommended depending on the needle size chosen, e.g. from Amann Serafil (polyester) or Rasant (polyester/cotton).

NEEDLEPOINT:	SPI/S SET - Round point pointed Needle with a very slim, pointed tip. Enables precise piercing of tightly woven and coated materials. Produces a clean, flawless seam appearance and minimizes seam puckering. Applications: - Very densely woven material such as microfibre and silk - Thin, coated materials - Thin, smooth materials such as e.g. Taffeta - quilting seams for shirt processing (shirt collar, cuffs, front strips) - elastomer threads not braided - manufacture of furs and skins
COATING:	CHROME Needles with a normal chrome coating can be recognized by their shiny silver surface. The chrome coating provides protection against wear and corrosion. The surface is smooth and protects the material and the thread. Chrome needles can be used for all standard applications. Compared to nickel-plated needles, chrome-plated needles improve the service life of the needle at higher stitch counts. At Groz-Beckert, the equivalent chrome coating is being gradually replaced by their more environmentally friendly "dur" process.
