The 134 (R) FHS needle (needle system 134) has a normal round point for working woven and knit fabrics. The FHS version allows sewing without hook adjustment. It is used in industrial lockstitch and general-purpose sewing machines, here mainly for technical applications such as footwear rather than classic garment production. Suitable machine classes are found, among others, at Pfaff (classes 1243, 2081-731/…, 2081-748/…, 2083), Dürkopp Adler (classes 271-140332, 271-140332-01, 271-140342-01, 272-160362-01) and Juki (classes DDL-5550N, DDL-5550N-7, DDL-5550NA, DDL-5550NA-7).
In size NM:80/SIZE:12, this version is especially well suited to light, fine woven and knit fabrics such as blouse and shirt fabrics. A sewing thread in the range Nm 80/2 to Nm 50/2 is usually suitable, e.g. from Amann Serafil or Rasant (polyester).
