The needle of system 137X1 has a small ball point for working knit fabrics, without damaging the loops. It is used in industrial embroidery machines. Suitable machine classes are found, among others, at Singer (classes 114, 114 - B 103, 114 - E 103, 114 - K 103), Treasure (classes ES, ESA, ES - 1114 OTHER CLASS, ES - 11414-10 ALL CLASSES) and Taking (classes TK, TK - 111- 1 TO 111-3, TK - 111-10).
In size NM:110/SIZE:18, this version is especially well suited to dense embroidery on heavy fabrics such as denim, terry cloth or caps. An embroidery thread in size No. 30 and heavier is usually suitable, e.g. Amann Isacord. The ball point glides between the loops instead of piercing them, keeping the seam clean and undamaged.
