CANU 47:08MA1 The Groz-Beckert needle 367 S LG is a straight needle with two long grooves and a scarf. Its slim, sharp round point (RS) displaces the material gently. Recommended for knitwear, e.g. for linking collars or cuffs. It fits, among others, machine classes from Exacta (classes SUPRA, ULTRAV.64H- 68-B, ULTRAVISION 68-B, VISION 68-B) and Rosso (classes BICATENELLA-B).

Thinner needle sizes are used, among others, for medium-weight knit fabrics for everyday garment production, and the thicker versions for heavy, dense knit fabrics and technical knits. As sewing thread, a matching thickness is usually recommended depending on the needle size chosen, e.g. from Amann Serafil or Rasant; for very stretchy seams, a texturised thread also works well.

SCHMETZ CANU:	CANU 47:08 CANU is the abbreviation for "Catalog Number" and represents the system developed by the German needle manufacturer SCHMETZ and used worldwide today for the summary and identification of the same sewing machine needles, which have various designations specific to the sewing machine manufacturer (needle systems).
NEEDLE SYSTEM:	367 S LG SY 7550 (SINGER)
COATING:	CHROME / DUR Needles with a normal chrome coating can be recognized by their shiny silver surface. The chrome coating provides protection against wear and corrosion. The surface is smooth and protects the material and the thread. Chrome needles can be used for all standard applications. Compared to nickel-plated needles, chrome-plated needles improve the service life of the needle at higher stitch counts. At GROTZ-BECKERT, the comparable chrome coating is being gradually replaced by the more environmentally friendly “DUR” process. The technology used to apply this DUR chrome coating has undergone a fundamental overhaul. The new process is significantly more environmentally friendly and conserves resources. The dur™ technology provides even better wear protection—especially directly at the needle tip—as well as optimized sliding properties. Compared to conventionally chrome-plated needles, the DUR-coated needles appear slightly more matte (particularly visible on the needle piston).
NEEDLEPOINT:	SPI/S SET - Round point pointed Needle with a very slim, pointed tip. Enables precise piercing of tightly woven and coated materials. Produces a clean, flawless seam appearance and minimizes seam puckering. Applications: - Very densely woven material such as microfibre and silk - Thin, coated materials - Thin, smooth materials such as e.g. Taffeta - quilting seams for shirt processing (shirt collar, cuffs, front strips) - elastomer threads not braided - manufacture of furs and skins
