The needle of system 459 R has a narrow round point for working woven and knit fabrics. This needle system belongs to the fur and glove sewing machine needles and is specialised for processing furs, pelts, leather and glove materials. It is used in industrial chainstitch and general-purpose sewing machines for everyday garment and textile manufacturing. Suitable machine classes are found, among others, at Bonis (classes 3000, 3016, 3018, 3021), Pfaff (classes 3560, CCS SUCCESS, FF1 SUCCESS, FF1NP SUCCESS) and Porkert (classes 60, 62, 80, 82).
At strength NM:50/SIZE:5, this version is especially well suited to light, fine woven and knit fabrics such as blouse and shirt fabrics. A sewing thread in the range Nm 120/2 to Nm 80/2 (fine) is usually suitable, e.g. from Amann Serafil or Rasant (polyester).
