The Groz-Beckert needle 6X3 is a straight needle with one long groove. Its normal round point displaces the material gently. The needle is nickel-plated. Application: bag closing (stitch type class 300). Recommended for paper and polypropylene fabrics, e.g. for feed bags, transport bags and nets.

The available needle sizes are used, among others, for very heavy, multi-layer materials such as webbing, tarpaulins and upholstery composites. As sewing thread, a matching thickness is usually recommended depending on the needle size chosen, e.g. from Amann Serafil (polyester) or Rasant (polyester/cotton); for heavy-duty use, a bonded nylon thread.
