The DBXK5 SUK TN needle (needle system DBXK5) has a medium ball point for working knit fabrics, without damaging the loops. It is used in industrial embroidery machines. Suitable machine classes are found, among others, at Brother (classes BAS, BAS -401, BAS -410, BAS -411), Tajima (classes MLHII, TEHX, TEJT, TFGN) and ZSK (classes 169, 172 to 175, 201 to 224, J).
The available needle sizes are used, among others, for standard embroidery on medium-weight fabrics. As embroidery thread, a size No. 60 to No. 30 thread matching the needle size chosen is usually recommended, e.g. Amann Isacord. The ball point glides between the loops instead of piercing them, keeping the seam clean and undamaged.
This needle also features a titanium nitride (TN) coating: it improves the needle's service life at higher stitch counts and reduces needle smearing. At Groz-Beckert, this coating is called GEBEDUR.
