Sweatshirt fabrics

The fabric of a sweatshirt consists of a special knitted fabric. It is single-face knitted on circular knitting machines (plain knit). A special backing thread is carried on the reverse side, which has a softer twist than the base knitting yarn visible on the front. This is brushed up during the finishing process, which results in the typical fluffy inside of sweatshirt fabric. For this reason, this fabric is also known in the trade as "lining fabric".
