The DBXK5 SES needle (needle system DBXK5) has a small ball point for working knit fabrics, without damaging the loops. It is used in industrial embroidery machines. Suitable machine classes are found, among others, at Brother (classes BAS, BAS -401, BAS -410, BAS -411), Tajima (classes MLHII, TEHX, TEJT, TFGN) and ZSK (classes 169, 172 to 175, 201 to 224, J).
In size NM:100/SIZE:16, this version is especially well suited to dense embroidery on heavy fabrics such as denim, terry cloth or caps. An embroidery thread in size No. 30 and heavier is usually suitable, e.g. Amann Isacord. The ball point glides between the loops instead of piercing them, keeping the seam clean and undamaged.
