The needle of system DIX1 has a normal round point for working woven and knit fabrics. It is used in industrial lockstitch and general-purpose sewing machines. Suitable machine classes are found, among others, at Juki (classes LK, LU, LUH, LK - 1850 G), Happo (classes DI, DI - 4 A, DI - 4 C, DI - 6 A) and Seiko (classes D, DI, TE, D - 1 ALL CLASSES).
In size NM:180/SIZE:24, this version is especially well suited to very heavy, multi-layer materials such as webbing, tarpaulins and upholstery composites. A sewing thread in the range Nm 20/2 and heavier is usually suitable, e.g. from Amann Serafil (polyester) or Rasant (polyester/cotton); for heavy-duty use, a bonded nylon thread.
