The 2091 SPI needle (needle system 175X7) has an acute round point for working woven and knit fabrics. It is used in industrial lockstitch and general-purpose sewing machines. Suitable machine classes are found, among others, at Yamato (classes CB, CB - 513, CB - 515, CB - 516), Chandler (classes 710, 710 - 1-N, 710 - 1-S, 710 - 12) and Dürkopp Adler (classes 147, 247, 547, 566). In size NM:90/SIZE:14, this version is especially well suited to medium-weight standard woven and knit fabrics for everyday garment production. A sewing thread in the range Nm 80/2 to Nm 50/2 is usually suitable, e.g. from Amann Serafil (polyester) or Rasant (polyester/cotton).Package contents: pack BR10 with 10 needles
CANU is the abbreviation for "Catalog Number" and represents the system developed by the German needle manufacturer SCHMETZ and used worldwide today for the summary and identification of the same sewing machine needles, which have various designations specific to the sewing machine manufacturer (needle systems).
Needle with a very slim, pointed tip. Enables precise piercing of tightly woven and coated materials. Produces a clean, flawless seam appearance and minimizes seam puckering.Applications:- Very densely woven material such as microfibre and silk- Thin, coated materials- Thin, smooth materials such as e.g. Taffeta- quilting seams for shirt processing (shirt collar, cuffs, front strips)- elastomer threads not braided- manufacture of furs and skins
Needles with a normal chrome coating can be recognized by their shiny silver surface. The chrome coating provides protection against wear and corrosion. The surface is smooth and protects the material and the thread. Chrome needles can be used for all standard applications. Compared to nickel-plated needles, chrome-plated needles improve the service life of the needle at higher stitch counts. At Groz-Beckert, the equivalent chrome coating is being gradually replaced by their more environmentally friendly "dur" process.
