The 1000 H needle (needle system 1000) has an acute round point for working woven and knit fabrics. It is used in industrial lockstitch and general-purpose sewing machines, here mainly for technical applications such as the buffing-wheel industry and the packaging industry rather than classic garment production. Suitable machine classes are found, among others, at Dürkopp Adler (classes 020 - 17-B, 120 - 17 B TO 17 B-S, 120 - 37 TO 37 SI), Keestar (classes 733, KES SERIES) and Seiko (classes SAM - 20, SLH - 2). In size NM:300/SIZE:29, this version is especially well suited to very heavy, multi-layer materials such as webbing, tarpaulins and upholstery composites. A sewing thread in the range Nm 20/2 and heavier is usually suitable, e.g. from Amann Serafil (polyester) or Rasant (polyester/cotton); for heavy-duty use, a bonded nylon thread.Package contents: pack BR10 with 10 needles
CANU is the abbreviation for "Catalog Number" and represents the system developed by the German needle manufacturer SCHMETZ and used worldwide today for the summary and identification of the same sewing machine needles, which have various designations specific to the sewing machine manufacturer (needle systems).
Needle with a very slim, pointed tip. Enables precise piercing of tightly woven and coated materials. Produces a clean, flawless seam appearance and minimizes seam puckering.Applications:- Very densely woven material such as microfibre and silk- Thin, coated materials- Thin, smooth materials such as e.g. Taffeta- quilting seams for shirt processing (shirt collar, cuffs, front strips)- elastomer threads not braided- manufacture of furs and skins
Needles with a normal chrome coating can be recognized by their shiny silver surface. The chrome coating provides protection against wear and corrosion. The surface is smooth and protects the material and the thread. Chrome needles can be used for all standard applications. Compared to nickel-plated needles, chrome-plated needles improve the service life of the needle at higher stitch counts. At Groz-Beckert, the equivalent chrome coating is being gradually replaced by their more environmentally friendly "dur" process.
