TISSUE
Tissue is a textile fabric consisting of at least two thread systems, warp and weft, which cross each other at an angle of exactly or approximately 90° when viewed on the fabric surface.
Each of the two systems can be made up of several types of warp or weft (e.g. basic, pile and filling warp / basic, binding and filling weft). The warp threads run in the longitudinal direction of the fabric, parallel to the edge of the fabric, and the weft threads run in the transverse direction, parallel to the edge of the fabric.
The threads are mainly connected to the fabric by friction. In order for a fabric to be sufficiently non-slip, the warp and weft threads usually have to be woven relatively densely. That is why, with a few exceptions, the fabrics have a coherent appearance.
To sew fabric, positive displacement needles are always used and never a cutting point. |

Denim / Jeans Generally known as jeans fabric, denim is a strong twill-weave fabric made of cotton, viscose fibers or synthetic fibers, usually with a blue-dyed warp and an undyed (raw white) weft (blue jeans).
In other colors it is called black denim, coloured denim, and depending on the finishing treatment, also bleached denim, brushed denim or stone-washed denim, etc.

Fabric in twill weave with diagonal weave stripes, to which, in warp twill, the warp threads contribute more, and in weft twill, the weft threads contribute more.
Depending on the twill construction, a distinction is made:
Warp twill: On the face of the fabric there are more warp threads than weft threads, e.g. K 2/1Z, 20-0201-01-01
Weft twill: On the face of the fabric there are more weft threads than warp threads, e.g. K1/2Z, 20-0102-01-01
Broken (wide) twill: The twill weave forms a wide diagonal (more warp risers than warp sinkers and vice versa), e.g. K3/1Z, 20-0301-01-01
Even (regular) twill: In forming the diagonal, the warp risers and warp sinkers are balanced, e.g. K2/2Z, 20-0202-01-01
Multi-line twill: Several diagonal lines occur within one weave repeat, e.g. 20-03010102-01-01
